BEHIND THE MUSIC OF KATIEMAY PRODUCTIONS

KatieMay, a talented producer and mother, was born in Pontiac, Michigan, and spent most of her life in Texas. Her love for music started at a young age, as her parents shared their passion with her and the family regularly. Her father's love for old-school music and jazz, combined with her mother singing in the school choir, exposed her to a wide range of genres. She fondly remembers waking up to music on school mornings when her father was home and her mother playing music as she cleaned the house on Sunday mornings. One of her favorite childhood memories was singing along to songs like "Love You Down" by INOJ and "Dreaming Of You" by Selena, using her father's German speakers, which had a 6 CD changing Stereo with microphones plug-ins. KatieMay's passion for music deepened during her high school years in Killeen, Texas, where she joined a choir and discovered her love for classical music. She graduated as an alto in her school's Choral Choir. Whenever she faced tough times, music became her safe haven, helping her work through her emotions. However, after her mother passed away, KatieMay left for college where she never completed her degree in Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology and Network Security, a decision she did not regret. A year later, she became a mother to a beautiful baby boy, whom she raised independently. Nowadays, KatieMay is focused on building her business, KatieMay Productions Studio, from scratch. She returned to college to obtain a degree in music production, created a YouTube channel to document her journey, and launched a podcast called Katie Speaks. Even though she intends to assemble a team in the future, she is a jack of all trades and always eager to tackle new challenges.
